Sedap! A Culinary Adventure is a co-op cooking adventure developed by kopiforge and published by Isolated Games Publishing and launched on May 22, 2025. Finding a co-op game that perfectly balances teamwork, chaos, and pure fun can be a tall order, but Sedap serves it up flawlessly. My daughter and I dove into this culinary adventure on the weekend primarily in local splitscreen co-op, and it quickly became an absolute blast of an experience.
The game’s setup accommodated our preferred playstyles perfectly. Playing on a hybrid setup with my daughter handling the keyboard and mouse as Som, the cooker, and I on a controller as Gon, the hunter. These controls felt responsive and the game would seamlessly meld into split screen as I ran off getting ingredients while my daughter tinkered with the pot and cutting up the chicken and mangoes.

Sedap absolutely nails the progression curve. It eases you into the kitchen gently, starting with relatively calm orders like chicken fried rice, which only requires managing basic rice and chopped-up chicken. Before long, the restaurant rush kicks in, and the ingredients slowly but surely increase in complexity.
You will find yourselves managing a diverse, mouth-watering menu that includes brewing tea (requiring precision with tea leaves), pineapple fried rice, and mango sticky rice. A couple of levels in and the recipes start getting real complex, as does the pace at which customers want their food delivered.

What makes the co-op dynamic truly shine is how the characters complement each other. Each character comes with distinct bonuses. Gon has a boost to chopping speed while the Som excels at cooking speed. This asymmetry naturally forces you to communicate, strategise, and occasionally panic as orders pile up. It led to many laughs while my daughter and I scrambled across the kitchen, madly harvested and preparing ingredients, and successfully served our demanding customers to earn those elusive, incredibly satisfying five-star ratings.
Overall, Sedap is a simple yet chaotically fun local splitscreen co-op cooking challenge. It takes the familiar stress of an Overcooked kitchen and turns it into a joyful, cooperative bonding experience in the jungle. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or playing with family, this is one dish you definitely want to sample.
