MADFINGER Games has officially launched the Supporter Preview for the highly anticipated Rogue Ops (Update 0.5) for Gray Zone Warfare. Supporter Edition owners can dive into the action early on Steam, with progress seamlessly carrying over when the update opens to all players on October 22. Marking a massive milestone as the game transitions from pre-alpha to Alpha, Rogue Ops introduces brand-new progression loops, high-tier locations, and major technical upgrades.
What’s New in Update 0.5 (Rogue Ops):
- The Hideout & Crafting Loop: Build and upgrade safehouse facilities to craft medical supplies, produce substances for smuggling, and research advanced tools like hacking devices to bypass locked doors and access high-value loot.
- 3 New High-Difficulty POIs: Explore three massive new locations, the Radio Observatory (RLSL-1), Asylum (Lakevale Sanctuary), and Military Research Site (Northern Reach), featuring Level 4 enemy AI and exclusive endgame rewards.
- Up to 4 Playable Characters: Players can now maintain up to four separate characters across different factions and game modes (PvE or PvEvP), removing the need for account wipes to switch sides.
- 7 New Weapons & Loot Overhaul: Introducing the Benelli M4, FAMAS, G3, G36, Glock 18C, Steyr AUG, and UMP. Top-tier attachments and tracking stims have been removed from vendor shops, encouraging deep open-world looting.
- Engine & Performance Upgrades: Upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.7, featuring improved frame rates, HDR display support, smarter AI, and re-engineered directional audio.
- First Soft Wipe: Player currency and equipment will reset, but existing level progression, task completions, and vendor reputations will remain intact.
