Get ready to forge your own path in a world teetering on the brink! Developer Nordcurrent, along with its internal publishing label, Nordcurrent Labs, is thrilled to announce the official launch date for their highly anticipated tactical turn-based adventure, Chains of Freedom. Mark your calendars, because players will be able to experience this gripping post-apocalyptic journey starting on April 15th! It’s already giving me some vibes from Miasma Chronicles, and I am excited to dive in next month.
The announcement was made at the recent Future Games Show, generating excitement for this unique title. Chains of Freedom plunges players into a dark and dystopian world teeming with supernatural threats. As commanders of an elite military squad, you’ll be tasked with navigating a treacherous landscape, engaging in real-time exploration, and leading your team through intense tactical turn-based combat.

In Chains of Freedom, players will:
- Command an Elite Squad: Take control of a specialised military unit and guide them through a world filled with danger, where every decision shapes the outcome.
- Explore a Dystopian World: Experience a post-apocalyptic Eastern Europe setting with real-time exploration, uncovering secrets in abandoned urban landscapes and facing perilous hidden forest laboratories.
- Engage in Deep Tactical Combat: Master strategic turn-based battles where careful planning, positioning, and squad customization are crucial for survival. Leverage your squad’s unique abilities to outmaneuver and outgun your enemies.
- Equip Powerful Gear: Arm your team with a diverse arsenal of weapons and gear, from brutal melee options like meat hooks and axes to devastating ranged weapons such as flamethrowers and mortars.
- Unravel a Gripping Narrative: Immerse yourself in a rich story filled with conspiracy and betrayal, as you uncover the truth behind the world’s dark fate.

Chains of Freedom will be released on April 15th and will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox and PlayStation.
