Chris InglisEarly Friday morning, in what would normally be E3 week, Devolver Digital held their annual showcase which is a highlight show for me this time of year. They always push the boundaries of video game marketing and this year was no different. From their Devolver Direct website: “A clueless team of Devolver Digital execs, scrambling to produce a presentation, accidentally trigger a reality-bending, industry-wide event that threatens the very fabric of video game time and space.” Hosted by a ‘Mecha Suda51’, this year’s Devolver Direct show gave us a look at five fantastic games in between the usual visual mayhem. Two of the games are made are by local Australian developers which is awesome to see. Cult of the Lamb is from Massive Monster based in Victoria, and The Plucky Squire is by Queensland based devs, All Possible Futures.
