Exciting Games Line-Up from Hooded Horse

Hooded Horse Inc is a publisher of strategy, simulation, and role-playing games based in Dallas, Texas with people and partners across the world. Founded in 2019 with a single title, Hooded Horse’s portfolio has grown to 20 games and counting, many of which have been on, or have just joined my Steam wishlist. Fans of strategy, simulation and RPGs have plenty to look forward to throughout 2023 with titles such as Xenonauts 2, Alliance of the Sacred Suns and Fragile Existence seeing new trailers released recently, and some awesome looking sci-fi games that are right up my alley. Here’s some amazing games to look forward to this year from Hooded Horse.

Manor Lords by Slavic Magic

Manor Lords is a medieval strategy game featuring in-depth city building, large-scale tactical battles, and complex economic and social simulations. Rule your lands as a medieval lord — the seasons pass, the weather changes, and cities rise and fall.

Xenonauts 2 by Goldhawk Interactive – Early access release in Q2

Sequel to 2014’s Xenonauts, wage a global war of resistance against an alien invasion. Command XCOM-style turn-based tactical battles, build a network of covert bases, directly control your fighter wings, and achieve strategic victory in a simulation of asymmetric warfare against a technologically superior foe.

Sons of Valhalla by Pixel Chest

Sons of Valhalla is a combat and base-building game set in the Viking Age. Build fortresses and lay siege to enemy strongholds, gather warriors and board longboats, and engage in personal combat as you raid and conquer across England.

Heart of the Machine by Arcen Games LLC

Heart of the Machine is a near-future sci-fi colony city-builder in reverse – you are the first sentient Machine Intelligence in an established world rather than starting from nothing. No one knows you exist (yet), and this allows you to operate from the shadows by manipulating the human population for whatever purposes your programming has in mind. The twist is that whether humans live or die does not determine your victory.

Breachway by Edgeflow Studio

Assemble your crew, load out your ship, and explore the galaxy in this deck-building space roguelike. Your deck is determined by your spaceship’s loadout, mix and match equipment to discover different powerful card synergies, and obliterate your enemies in tactical space battles.

The Way of Wrath by Animmal

Forge your path as a Bronze Age tribal chieftain in this epic strategy RPG. Lead your tribe in a fight for survival against all odds as the elements, time, and a relentless foe seek to wipe your people out.

Fata Deum by 42 Bits Entertainment

Inspired by the god games of old, Fata Deum lets you mold settlements and townsfolk in your image. Will you raise the settlements to splendor, or spur them on to violent debauchery and demons? Watch as a living world grows under your whims.

Mars Tactics by Takibi Games

Lead either Capital or Labor in an all-out war to control Mars. Command troops across both a detailed strategic map and procedurally generated tactical battlefields. Outmaneuver the enemy using suppression and flanks or call in an airstrike to remake the battlefield in a fiery blast.

Alliance of the Sacred Suns by KatHawk Studios

Alliance of the Sacred Suns is a sci-fi grand-strategy RPG that begins with your coronation as the head of an interstellar Empire, and ends with your demise. Manage feuding noble houses and the schemes of would-be usurpers as you try to revive the glory of an Empire on the brink of collapse.

Falling Frontier by Stutter Fox Studios

Conquer a vast procedurally generated star system in Falling Frontier, a sci-fi RTS where intel and logistics are decisive factors. Design ships and raid enemy supply lines, lay minefields and construct recon stations, and ambush enemy forces within asteroid fields and nebulae.

Fragile Existence by Fragile Continuum

Save humanity from the brink of extinction in this sci-fi strategy game of survival. Travel among the stars to seek out resources, establish and develop colonies to sustain civilization, and grow your military might to push back against an overwhelming threat.

So, there you have it, 11 new games coming from Hooded Horse, and they all look very intriguing in their own genres. You can keep up to date with all the Hooded Horse titles over on Steam or their official website.
