The adventure begins as whispers of covert Inquest voyages to Castora reach the Tyrian Alliance. This conniving krewe of asuran researchers poses a grave threat, and it falls to the Commander to brave the unknown and thwart their sinister plans.

Visions of Eternity kicks off with a massive content drop at launch, including:

• Two Brand New Open-World Regions: Explore the mysterious and magically infused landscapes of Castora, each filled with strange creatures and unique challenges. These new maps serve as the starting point for a captivating new storyline.
• Nine New Elite Specialisations: Experience a fresh wave of character build options! Every profession will receive a new elite specialisation, introducing new trait lines, profession mechanics, and a plethora of healing, utility, and elite skills. Get ready to redefine your playstyle and discover powerful new synergies. Players can even get a sneak peek during an in-game beta preview for all elite specialisations from August 20th to 27th. Three elite specs have already been announced with more to follow in the coming weeks – Mesmer (Troubadour), Elementalist (Evoker), and Thief (Antiquary).
• A New Skimmer Mastery Line: Your beloved aquatic mount is getting a significant upgrade! Dive into the depths with new and updated abilities, allowing you to hover, dive, and soar faster than ever before as you navigate Castora’s treacherous waters and environments. This is one of three new mastery lines tied to the region.
• New Legendary Treasures: Embark on a grand pursuit for six new legendary items! At launch, you can acquire three new legendary weapons, a ring, an accessory, and the highly anticipated legendary aquabreather. More legendary items will be introduced in subsequent updates.
• A Brand New Homestead Map: For those who own both Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds and Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity, a stunning new beachside homestead map on Castora will become available. Not only will you have a picturesque new abode to decorate, but a new “Layouts” feature will allow you to save and freely swap between your Janthiri and Castoran homestead designs!

But the journey doesn’t end at launch. Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity promises a full year of ongoing adventures with three major content updates planned throughout 2026. These free quarterly releases will bring:

• New Instanced Group Content: Prepare for ultimate challenges!
