Chris InglisTo celebrate Hobbit Day on September 22, Wētā Workshop and Private Division have teased an upcoming cosy The Lord of the Rings game set in the Middle-earth universe. Tales of the Shire is inspired by the books of J.R.R. Tolkien and is due out in 2024 on console and PC.
I am intrigued by the notion that the game could be centered around Hobbits as seen in drawings on the desk of the character in the trailer. There’s an older Hobbit with a fishing pole, a house from presumably the Shire, and other little details. There are also sign posts for locations such as Green Dragon, Ivy Bush, and Bywater. Not much else is known about the game unfortunately, but anything Lord of the Rings related goes straight onto my wishlist. There is an official website that you can bookmark and look out for the social channels too on X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Definitely a game we will be keeping an eye on.
