In preparation for the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on April 28, I have been playing through Jedi: Fallen Order on the Xbox Series X and getting excited about the sequel. The gameplay of Jedi: Fallen Order is a lot of fun, albeit frustrating at times with the controller and timing those blocks and dodges, but as I am playing and reliving the story, it’s getting me excited not only for Jedi Survivor, but also The Mandalorian Season 3 and other Star Wars projects in 2023.
As part of their ‘IGN First’ series, IGN recently had the amazing experience of getting hands-on with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and have put together a video showing us 9-minutes of gameplay, and the game is looking fantastic. Not only does it show off the updated graphics, but it also gives us a glimpse at a new location, the planet of Koboh. Not too far into the game, Cal crash lands onto Koboh after a secret mission goes awry, and must seek out assistance in repairing his ship, The Mantis. This gameplay picks up soon after Cal lands and goes through a number of new combat techniques, force powers, Clone Wars battle droids, and some of the native animals. Check it out for yourself here or below.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up five years after the events of the previous game. Cal Kestis has remained one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and ally himself with unique and interesting characters on his journey. In order to survive, Cal must evolve as a Jedi, learning new skills and growing his connection with the Force.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC which promises an even deeper and more expansive Star Wars experience for players worldwide when the game launches on April 28, 2023.
