Obsidian Entertainment, Private Division, and Virtuos recently announced The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition will be available next week on March 7, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The award-winning sci-fi PRG The Outer Worlds first graced our gaming libraries back in 2019 and was effectively a Fallout in space. I jumped back into the game last year actually and enjoyed playing through the first few hours again. Now this time next-gen console players will have a chance to play this great game, and there’s something for existing owners of the game as well.
Higher resolution graphics, a dynamic weather system, overhauled lighting and environments, improved performance and load times, enhanced details on characters, an increased level cap, and much more await spacers who bravely and boldly carve their path through the conspiratorial Halcyon colony. The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition includes The Outer Worlds base game and both DLCs, Murder on Eridanos and Peril on Gorgon for AU$89.95. Players who already own The Outer Worlds and its associated DLCs for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, or Windows Store) can upgrade to The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition for the latest generation of console or, if applicable, from that same PC store at a reduced price of AU$12.
And just because I think it’s one of the best game announcement trailers I have seen, here’s a reminder that The Outer Worlds 2 is in development. “That BWAAAAH sound” bit gets me every time!
