Ahoy, mateys! Prepare to hoist the sails and embark on a thrilling journey as 3DClouds has just launched a bountiful demo for their vibrant third-person pirate adventure, Trident’s Tale, via Steam. This exciting news comes ahead of the game’s full launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch platforms in May. For fans of their previous swashbuckling title, King of Seas, which was a personal favourite, this new adventure promises a similar spirit of nautical exploration and thrilling action only this time we can fight foes on land too.
Trident’s Tale promises a brand-new single-player pirate adventure set in a colourful and magic-infused world. Step into the boots of the intrepid female adventurer, Ocean, and prepare for an epic quest across a vast sea teeming with unique islands, eccentric characters, cunning riddles, shadowy dungeons, and adrenaline-pumping battles against fearsome monsters and rival pirate gangs both on land and at sea. The demo’s launch coincided with the premiere of a brand-new gameplay trailer, showcased as part of the Future Games Spring Showcase Live from GDC. This trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into Trident’s Tale‘s unique blend of on-foot adventuring and thrilling naval combat, giving players a taste of the swashbuckling action to come.

3DClouds, a leading video game studio based in Italy, has established itself as a creator of engaging experiences, with recent releases including titles like Transformers: Galactic Trials, Paw Patrol World, and Hot Wheels Monster Trucks: Stunt Mayhem. Trident’s Tale marks an exciting venture as an original IP crafted by their talented 60-person development team, with more new releases planned for 2025 and beyond.
“We cannot wait to see what people think of Trident’s Tale,” said Francesco Bruschi, CEO of 3DClouds. “It’s a departure for us to not work on a beloved license, but we’re relishing the opportunity to build a universe from scratch and to create iconic characters that really resonate. We’ve designed Trident’s Tale to be enjoyed by players of all ages, and we hope demo feedback will really help us make the game even better in the final months before launch.”

Eager adventurers can now wishlist Trident’s Tale on Steam, Epic Games Store and PlayStation 5, with store pages for Nintendo eShop and Xbox platforms launching soon. Ready to set sail? You can experience a taste of the pirate life by downloading the demo now on Steam.
