Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in June

E3 was completely cancelled this year, even it’s digital form. I always found the Xbox and Bethesda shows to be the highlights of E3, and now they have announced an Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase to be held on June 12. With the time conversions, that makes the show start at 1am AWST / 3am AEST on Monday June 13 for us in Australia. The announcement was surprisingly light on any detail, with this being the only statement:

“The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will include everything you need to know about the diverse lineup of games coming soon to the Xbox ecosystem, including upcoming releases to Game Pass on Xbox and PC.”

No doubt Starfield is going to be the first game people think of when wondering what could be shown at this year’s show. If I think back to the 2021 Xbox/Bethesda E3 Showcase, there’s still a fair number of games that we were shown trailers of but we haven’t seen yet. Stalker 2 has been delayed indefinitely due to the conflict in Ukraine, but here’s a quick snapshot at games we might see in this year’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase based off what we saw at last year’s E3 show.

Starfield – Releasing November 11, 2022, Day 1 on Game Pass and exclusive to Xbox Consoles/PC/Cloud

Contraband – From Avalanche Studios and Xbox Game Studios, a co-op open world smuggler’s paradise set in the fictional world of 1970s Bayan.

Party Animals – Coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2022. Fight with or against your friends in Party Animals! Choose your character from a diverse cast of adorable animals as you battle it out across multiple game modes to be the last one left standing in the ultimate competitive brawler.

Somerville – A sci-fi adventure grounded in the intimate repercussions of large scale conflict. In the wake of catastrophe you must find the means to make your family whole again.

A Plague Tale: Requiem – Embark on an emotional and breathtaking journey. Follow Amicia and her brother Hugo on a perilous new quest, doing whatever it takes to survive a brutal, uncaring world. A Plague Tale: Requiem will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2022. The game will be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass for Consoles, PC and Cloud.

Atomic Heart – Coming day one to Xbox Game Pass on console, PC, and cloud. Atomic Heart takes place in the Soviet Union in an alternative reality sometime in 1955, where technology like the internet, holograms and robots have already been invented. The main protagonist is a special agent called P-3, who is sent by the government to investigate a manufacturing facility that has fallen silent.

Replaced – Discover the dark secrets of Phoenix-City. Define your shared future in REPLACED coming in 2022 to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC, with an optimized version for Xbox Series X|S.

The Outer Worlds 2 – Boasting a new solar system, new crew, same Outer Worlds. The Outer Worlds 2 is coming but there’s still no release date or year. It’s likely a while off still, but it’d be cool to see more footage from the game.

Redfall – An open-world co-op FPS being developed by Arkane Austin and will launch exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC in Summer 2022. Play it Day One with Xbox Game Pass.

That’s nine games that we saw at last year’s E3 Xbox & Bethesda showcase, so I hope we get to see some more release dates to lock onto the calendar, but I would love to be blindside by some other cool new game announcements. We will find out when the show goes live at 1am AWST / 3am AEST on Monday June 13 for us in Australia over at twitch.tv/xbox.
