Pepper Grinder Releases Updated Demo For Steam Next Fest

Back in August I got the chance to play a demo for Pepper Grinder. I liked what I saw and was an easy addition to my wishlist. With Steam Next Fest coming very soon, developer Ahr Ech is releasing a new demo for everyone to enjoy.

The Pepper Grinder Demo Redux

Not a lot has changed from my review of the demo. To quickly recap, Pepper is a pirate. Pepper finds Grinder. Pepper uses grinder to dive into semi-solid materials, collecting gems, solving puzzles, and getting through levels.

It’s a lot of fun learning how to manoeuvre through the sand-like earth. Things move quickly as Pepper builds momentum to make jumps and avoid obstacles.

Those things were in the demo I previously played. What has been added is a shop, a time attack mode, and a sticker book.

Pepper Grinder’s time attack is a challenge mode to test a player’s skill in quickly moving through a level. There are three par times to beat, which each unlocking a reward.

The shop is a fun way to spend all the crystals I’d been collecting through levels. Players can now purchase stickers and extra health to help them through levels.

Finally, the new Pepper Grinder demo has a sticker book. Finishing a level obtains players a background. These can be used to attach stickers bought from the shop. The backgrounds can be modified slightly with different colours and styles.

Where To Find

The latest Pepper Grinder demo will be available during Steam Next Fest, running from the 5th to the 12th of February. Head to the game’s Steam page during that time to grab it.

I enjoyed my time with the Pepper Grinder demo and can’t wait for the full release. It is available to wishlist now on Steam and the Nintendo eShop.
