Diablo IV Gears Up for Season of the Construct

Diablo IV’s Season of Blood comes to an end next week and in its place will be season 3, titled Season of the Construct and it’s looking pretty damn cool. Sanctuary trembles as a new threat emerges from the sands of Kehjistan with a new seneschal companion customisable with magical “Governing Stones”, hidden chambers in the form of Vaults, and more. Arriving on January 24 for us in ANZ, travel to the Gatehall, a town center underneath Kehjistan that serves as your base of operations in the fight against the Constructs.

A new threat lurks deep beneath the sands of Kehjistan where the Loom, an ancient technology – designed by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan of Caldeum – has been usurped by the forces of evil. The Demon Malphas is responsible for twisting the Loom for his cruel whims. Zoltun’s former companion Ayuzhan leads you through the treacherous Vaults, desperate to stop the formidable Malphas and his deadly constructs from overtaking Sanctuary.

Beyond just the thrilling narrative and clockwork enemies, there are a number of core elements that will set Season of the Construct apart for both new players and veterans since launch.

Seneschal Companion: Wield the power of the Loom by acquiring your very own Seneschal Companion, which becomes available during the seasonal questline. In Zoltun’s vision the Seneschal compliments your adventures by engaging directly in the fight or aiding you dutifully on the sidelines. You can power up the companion with magical “Governing Stones” found throughout the season. These stones unlock unique abilities for your construct, ranging from offensive blasts to supportive auras, letting you tailor it to your playstyle. You can even equip “Tuning Stones” for further fine-tuning, making your mechanical buddy a true force to be reckoned with.

Vaults: Venture into these hidden chambers scattered across Kehjistan, brimming with challenging puzzles and traps. Solving these will reward you with valuable loot, Governing Stones, and even fragments of the Loom – a mysterious device with the potential to alter the fate of constructs. But beware, cunning guardians and devious contraptions stand between you and these treasures.

Wardwoven Chests: Keep an eye out for these shimmering chests, woven from magical threads. They hold the potential for valuable loot, crafting materials, and even Construct duplicates! Combining these duplicates allows you to forge more powerful versions of your automaton companion, enhancing its abilities and unlocking new customization options.

Arcane Tremors: Brace yourself for these unpredictable bursts of magical energy erupting across the landscapes. Dismantle deadly traps, destroy Lesser and Elite Constructs to earn Shattered Stone. Dispatching Elite Constructs grants Pearls of Warding which can be used to earn higher valued rewards from replaying Vaults.

The Season of the Construct isn’t just about facing a new boss. It brings a wealth of content and improvements to Diablo IV:

• Helltides Unleashed: Prepare for a constant barrage of demonic assaults! Helltides are now always active with a 5-minute rest every hour, offering a steady stream of challenges and rewards.
• Hellspawn on the Hunt: The pesky Hellspawn are multiplying! Encounter them more frequently, increasing your chances of collecting Cinders and reaping their devilish loot.
• Control Unleashed: PC players rejoice! W-A-S-D movement is now available, offering a more familiar and fluid way to navigate Sanctuary’s wastelands.
• Stashing Your Loot: An extra stash tab arrives, providing much-needed space for all your hard-earned treasures.
• Battle Pass Bonanza: The Season of the Construct Battle Pass offers 90 tiers of rewards, including Awoken Adamant Armor, Platinum, and even an Awoken Clockwork Equid Mount.

Diablo IV’s Season of the Construct promises a thrilling blend of action, intrigue, and mechanical mayhem. To play the new seasonal questline, you must create a new character on the seasonal realm and have completed the main campaign.
