Battlefield 6 Season 4: Pacific Front Rides Out July 21

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios today announced a roadmap for Battlefield 6 Season 4: Pacific Front. Launching worldwide on July 21, 2026, the new season will introduce large-scale naval warfare across fully integrated land, air, and sea scenarios. NATO thought the War of 2027 was over. They were wrong. Pax Armata, decentralised with warlords around the globe, are commandeering critical supply lines to put NATO in a stranglehold. Their next target? Offshore US bases in the Pacific and the Fort Lyndon coastline. Season 4 comes with two new naval warefare maps, Tsuru Reef and one of Battlefield’s more famous maps makes a triumphant return, Wake Island, and the season will launch progressively over the next few months. There is also the introduction of a new Dynamic Wave System which adds a new dimension to ocean combat, where waves affect boat movement, player aim, and line of sight, allowing players to strategically ambush, flank, and use as cover in firefights.

Battlefield 6 Season 4: Pacific Front kicks off with the deployment of Tsuru Reef, featuring a sprawling tropical archipelago filled with vast air and sea spaces as well as steep cliffs, dense jungles, remnants of old war bunkers, and a luxury resort. The map is custom-designed for intense combined-arms conflict and players will take to the surf with two new naval vehicles: the heavily armored RCB-90 Patrol Boat and the lightning-fast 7.7m NSW RHIB transport craft. Additionally, three new high-powered firearms join the game’s weapon pool in the form of the EF88 assault rifle, BREN3 carbine, and the integrally suppressed VSSM.

On August 18, Battlefield 6 joins forces with Paramount Games Studio for an official, blockbuster crossover with Top Gun. This update introduces full, two-seat functionality to legendary military jets in the form of the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Super Hornet. These allow one player to pilot while a co-pilot handles advanced weapon locking systems. The crossover features official character skins and voice acting from movie stars including characters Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), Lt. Robert “Bob” Floyd (Lewis Pullman), Adm. Solomon “Warlock” Bates (Charles Parnell). There will be two new themed modes, a Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep mission for Battlefield REDSEC and Carrier Strike for the main game. Carrier Strike pits naval, air, and ground forces against one another as teams seek to destroy the enemy aircraft carrier in a showdown creating an incredible blending of Battlefield and Top Gun’s defining characteristics.

Rounding out the season on September 15, Tidal Strike arrives as the definitive finale. This phase will centre around a high-stakes Deep Six Collection Event, offering exclusive high-tier hardware packages, weapon skins, and unique naval rewards for squads capable of completing specialised contracts in the most hostile oceanic conditions.

“Battlefield’s unmatched sense of scale is the perfect way to bring Top Gun’s iconic and cinematic aerial combat to life,” said Ryan McArthur, Executive Producer. “We can’t wait for our players to experience this update—our new wave mechanics, the return of classic battlegrounds, and the thrill of multi-crew dogfights make this the biggest, most ambitious season of Battlefield 6 yet.”
