Destiny 2: The Final Shape – Developer Gameplay Preview

Last week, Bungie announced its Developer Gameplay Preview for Destiny 2: The Final Shape, which will stream on April 10 at 12:30 am AWST / 2:30 am AEST on their Twitch and YouTube channels. We can look forward to hearing more information about the upcoming expansion, including a behind-the-scenes look at new gameplay reveals. In The Final Shape, Guardians will pursue the Witness into the Pale Heart of the Traveler, rally the Vanguard, and seek to end the War of Light and Darkness. Destiny 2: The Final Shape was delayed and will now launch on June 4, 2024 (June 5 for us in ANZ).

During the campaign of The Final Shape, Guardians will explore a mysterious new destination – The Pale Heart, located inside the Traveler. Shaped by The Witness but also influenced by the history and journey of the Guardians themselves, The Pale Heart destination will feature nostalgic callbacks from throughout the history of the Light and Darkness Saga, including a version of the original Tower from Destiny. As the first linear destination in Destiny history, The Pale Heart will also gradually evolve.

Coinciding with the developer gameplay preview on April 10 will be the launch of Destiny 2: Into the Light, the new two-month content update. This will feature a new wave-based Onslaught mode, returning fan-favourite weapons with limited-edition ornaments, the new Hall of Champions social space, two reprised Exotic Missions with new secrets, and more. Preparing Guardians for the upcoming confrontation with the Witness, Destiny 2: Into the Light will be available to all players at no additional cost from April 10.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape will launch on June 4, 2024 (June 5 for us in ANZ), and pre-orders are available now on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox and PlayStation, and be sure to tune in on April 10 at 12:30 am AWST/2:30 am AEST on their Twitch and YouTube channels for a developer gameplay preview of The Final Shape.
