Chris InglisLast week we saw the Guerilla Collective, a digital game showcase revealing fresh announcements, videos and more from the hottest developers and publishers around the world. One such game caught my eye immediately and it was Europa by indie developer Helder Pinto and publisher Future Friends Games. Europa is a peaceful game of adventure, exploration, and meditation, and a new gameplay trailer showcases the game’s voice acting talents for the very first time. Europa is scheduled to arrive on Steam and consoles in 2023.
On the moon Europa, a lush, terraformed paradise in Jupiter’s shadow, an android named Zee sets out in search of answers. Run, glide and fly across the landscape, solve mysteries in the ruins of a fallen utopia, and discover the story of Zee’s creator – the last human alive. As you travel, you’ll gradually upgrade the capabilities of your Zephyr jetpack, boosting yourself further through the air until you can flow freely into the sky. It very much reminded me of the aesthetic and fluid movement from Omno and these landscapes of Jupiter’s Moon are already beckoning me to explore them when the game releases sometime in 2023.

While we wait for the game, I highly recommend checking out Omno as it’s very atmospheric and exploring the world is a lot of fun. Europa looks to have some great traversal mechanics, challenging puzzles and the music has already got me wanting more. Europa is scheduled to arrive on Steam and consoles in 2023.
