Indie studio Irregular Shapes and publisher Firesquid have announcec that their creative and relaxing kingdom simulator, City Tales – Medieval Era, will be launching in Early Access on May 22nd via Steam. The exciting news was shared at the recent Future Games Show Live, marking a significant step for the anticipated city-builder.
Following a successful Steam Next Fest, where nearly 20,000 players got a first taste of the game through a demo, City Tales – Medieval Era is now gearing up for its Early Access debut. To celebrate the ongoing City Builder & Colony Sim Fest, the demo is once again available for eager builders to experience a sneak peek of what’s to come. This early version offers a glimpse into the intricate gameplay and will be expanded upon significantly in the Early Access release.


The Early Access launch of City Tales – Medieval Era will be packed with content, featuring an intricate economy with over 50 different types of resources and over 60 unique building types. Powered by a custom 3D procedural engine, each building is generated individually, ensuring that every structure and every plot in your city feels truly distinct.
