New Blood Bowl 3 Trailer Ahead of Launch

Blood Bowl was my first proper tabletop board game experience with miniatures that I painstakingly painted back in the early 2000’s. It was such a fun experience having weekly game sessions at my place with all the boys over, followed by a big BBQ lunch cook up and of course, beers and banter. At the time, we dreamed of being able to play Blood Bowl on the PC and playing games with each other over the Internet. This dream became a reality in 2009 when the first Blood Bowl game came to PC thanks to Cyanide Studios, and what a glorious time we had in the game. Now 14 years later, we are getting Blood Bowl 3 and damn does it look good in the latest trailer.

Blood Bowl is a brutal fantasy football inspired competition populated by Elves, Humans, Orcs and many other fantasy creatures. My favourite team has always been Undead. There will be 12 factions available for the launch of Blood Bowl 3 which is set for release on PC, PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One/Series X|S on February 23, 2023. The most iconic factions are returning, such as the Dwarfs and Dark Elves. But they will be joined by brand-new factions, such as the Imperial Nobility, Old World Alliance, Chaos Renegades and the Black Orcs, not to mention new factions that will be added at a later date. The dynamic pitches also hold their share of surprises: in certain situations, these pitches transform during the match and change the rules. Kraken, unbearable heat and insect swarms; these events are sure to create memorable moments!

Among the new features, Blood Bowl 3 includes a major redesign of the passing system to provide better team balance. Passing the ball is no longer linked to the Agility characteristic, but rather to a new characteristic: Passing Ability. You will also have the chance to learn new skills that will come in useful for devising your strategies. The levelling up system has also been completely revamped to provide more flexibility and more balanced levelling within a team. And many more features are there to explore such as player and team customisation, a season system and official ranking. All the new features will allow every coach to stand out and enjoy a unique Blood Bowl experience. You can therefore flaunt your own distinctive style in the Old World during the single-player Clash of Sponsors campaign and against other players.

Every three months, a new season will start and there will be unlockable rewards in the Blood Pass, and a new playable faction. Blood Bowl 3 is set for release on PC, PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One/Series X|S on February 23, 2023, and I can’t wait to get back out on the field. The Nintendo Switch version will be released at a later.
