DreamWorks Gabby’s Dollhouse: Ready to Party Xbox Review

Fresh off the excitement of Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie on the big screen, my family was excited to dive straight into DreamWorks Gabby’s Dollhouse: Ready to Party. We have had some excellent family experiences playing games from publisher Outright Games such as Paw Patrol World and Transformers: Earthspark – Expedition. This game is developed by Infinigon and we played the Xbox version which is a delightful, accessible, and essential experience for any young fan of the TV series.

My daughters are avid watchers of the hit Netflix show and were immediately drawn to the characters, who are voiced by the same actors from the TV series, as well as the bright and colourful game world. Stepping into the dollhouse feels like a direct extension of the show, from the colourful aesthetic to the faithful renderings of the beloved Gabby Cats—Pandy Paws, Cakey Cat, MerCat, and the rest. The visual design is spot-on, making it an immersive treat that instantly rewards viewers of the series.

The immediate standout feature for me, as a parent, is the game’s sheer accessibility. Each room in the dollhouse sends you to new lands with low-stress playgrounds to explore. Collecting coins allows you to unlock and play a variety of minigames. The game focuses on simple, joyous fun rather than complex or frustrating challenges. The platforming sections are intentionally short and straightforward. There’s no frustrating backtracking or pixel-perfect jumping required which allows the kids to focus purely on the joy of exploration.

The minigames are the real star, offering plenty of laughs, varied activities, and rewards you with new clothing and accessories to dress up Gabby. What I really like was the thoughtful use of the Xbox controller’s vibration acting as a gentle, yet highly effective, form of feedback to help guide the player through puzzles. When my 5-year-old daughter made the correct selection or completed a sequence, the little rumble gave her a boost of confidence and clear physical confirmation of her success. This small, intuitive detail is brilliant design for first-time or early learning gamers, making the experience incredibly encouraging.

Overall, DreamWorks Gabby’s Dollhouse: Ready to Party is a perfect family co-op experience that reinforces that shared joy we look for in our gaming time. This is a delightful addition to the family gaming library, cementing Outright Games’ reputation for publishing experiences that are faithful to the source material and genuinely fun for kids. For any parent whose little ones are hooked on Gabby and the Gabby Cats, this game, much like the new movie, is a highly recommended purchase. It’s easy, it’s engaging, and it’s full of cat-tastic fun and we genuinely had a blast playing this together.
