Blizzard Reveals Warcraft Arclight Rumble

Earlier this morning, Blizzard announced its first mobile game based in the Warcraft Universe, Warcraft Arclight Rumble, coming soon to iOS and Android devices. The free-to-play game is an action strategy title where you will build armies with characters from the Warcraft universe and battle it out in various missions as you command forces of digital tabletop miniatures in multi-lane combat.

In Warcraft Arclight Rumble, you will collect and build forces of mini characters and heroes, called Leaders, with such legendary names as the Warsong chieftain Grommash Hellscream and Archmage Jaina Proudmore. Leaders represent five factions from Alliance, Horde, Beast, Blackrock and Undead. By earning gold passively over time, by mining or finding treasure chests, you will then fill your team with Arclight-augmented armies with mini troops and powerful spells. You can also capture battlefield objectives like guard towers and meetings stones which will allow you to deploy your forces closer to objectives. After each battle, you’ll gain experience and level up your Minis to unlock unique talents.

Featuring a single-player campaign with over 70 missions, there will also be weekly and monthly challenges in the form of multipart dungeons, raids, and more. You can also play in PvP and co-op modes. Over 65 heroes, villains, monsters, and more from the Warcraft universe have been rendered as tabletop-style minis and brought to life for you to collect, level up, and improve with talents. Watching the cinematic and gameplay trailers, there character models are inspired by those in the strategy games as well as World of Warcraft, with some iconic sounds heard like the gnolls from Southern Elwynn Forest.

Players can sign up now for a chance to be included in future beta tests, and to get the latest information about Warcraft Arclight Rumble. Warcraft Arclight Rumble is not yet available on the App Store but stay tuned to the website for regular updates or follow their Twitter page.
