PAW Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship is the latest monster truck-themed racing adventure for young fans of the hit Nickelodeon series. Released by 3DClouds and Outright Games on October 31, 2025, this game serves as a follow-up to the racing mechanics we saw in PAW Patrol: Grand Prix Complete Edition. Having spent a lot of time watching my daughters play the previous game, I was keen to see how this new entry handled the transition to big wheels and dirt tracks.
Much like Paw Patrol: Grand Prix, this game shines with its accessibility for young players. The core appeal remains the auto drive option which is a godsend for preschoolers learning to play racing games with a controller. Watching my daughter play Grand Prix, she would often have auto drive on but would still try to steer herself. This frequently led to her running into walls, where she would struggle to shift into reverse or change her angle to move away from the obstacle. It often meant I had to step in to help her get back on track.

Now in Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship, I noticed a significant improvement in the collision mechanics. There seems to be a much larger “bounce back” space off the walls. Instead of getting stuck or grinding to a halt, the monster trucks tend to deflect back into the playable area more effectively. This allows the auto-driving system to “catch” the vehicle and redirect it much easier, leading to far more enjoyment for her as she learns the controls without the frustration of getting stuck. You can also hold down Y to quickly reset back on track.
Performing stunts fills up your stunt meter allowing you to trigger character-specific abilities that can turn the tide of a race. The gameplay also features a power-up system reminiscent of Mario Kart which adds a cool dynamic to each lap. It was also great to see an expanded roster; the game includes 10 playable characters and some new racers like Roxi and Boomer, and even Mayor Humdinger, providing plenty of motivation for kids as they unlock new characters through gameplay. The addition of a new Arena mode is also a welcome break from traditional racing, allowing kids to roam freely to collect treats, practice stunts and have some non-linear fun.

Overall, PAW Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship is another winner for young gamers and fans of the tv show. It takes the accessible foundation of the previous games and adds a layer of polish to the physics that makes it even more forgiving for the youngest gamers. It is an enjoyable and relaxed way to introduce children to the racing genre, prioritising fun and pup power over high-stakes competition.
